GADI GOLAN, ISRAEL— Radisson Hotels and Resorts is considering building two hotels in the region: a 500-room hotel on the Kinneret, and a second on the coast in Gaza, according to published statements from Carlson Companies chairman and CEO Marilyn Carlson Nelson. Vice Premier Shimon Peres met Nelson at the World Economic Forum conference in Jordan. He said Radisson asked for concrete investment proposals, and that he proposed a number of projects for investment in Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Nelson plans to visit Israel with a team of managers and architects to examine a number of sites for building hotels. Peres said Nelson had asked him to set up contacts with businessmen from Gaza, in order to establish joint ventures.
