BALTIMORE— The Radisson Plaza Lord Baltimore has completed its $3 million renovation program. The renovation at the hotel, which has been a city landmark since 1928, was directed by the New York-based interior design firm Samaha and Associates. The project included refurbishment of all 440 guestrooms with new carpeting, lighting, furniture and draperies, as well as upgraded bedding and linens. Additionally, guest bathrooms were redone with new tile, mirrors and sinks. In addition, all rooms on the hotel’s Plaza Level were outfitted with Select Comfort Sleep Number beds, which allow guests to choose their level of mattress comfort, firmness and support. The hotel donated its former beds, including linens and box springs, to area homeless shelters. Many of the hotel’s original architectural design features were retained. For example, there is a railing encircling the mezzanine levels and an art deco-inspired chandelier in the main lobby.
