SAN FRANCISCO, CA— When the Quality Inn hotel re-opens here on Geary Street next week, it will be a case of “out with the old, in with the new” for the lodging community in this City By The Bay. Formerly the Hotel Nuvo, the 89-room property was purchased by Roshan Investment Co. for $6.2 million. Additionally, well over $1 million was subsequently poured into renovations and refurbishment of the seven-story, three-quarter-century-old structure, clearing the way for its re-entry into active service on Apr. 17. Located within walking distance of Union Square and the Theater District, the property— also operated as the Hotel Geary earlier in its history— is similarly convenient to the Golden Gate Bridge, the San Francisco Zoo, Chinatown and Fisherman’s Wharf.—Michael Billig
