LONDON Saudi Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal is mulling a #300 million or $434 million bid for Londons Grosvenor House Hotel, which Granada Compass Plc is selling, the Financial Mail said yesterday, without naming sources. The billionaire wants to add another “trophy hotel to his empire, which includes a worldwide collection, the newspaper said. He owns 41% of New Yorks Plaza Hotel and 25% of Canadas Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, according to the Financial Mail. If the Prince, a nephew of Saudi Arabias King Fahd, fails to acquire the 73-year-old Grosvenor, he may turn to Londons Waldorf or the Ritz in Madrid, which Granada Compass also is selling, the Financial Mail said.
