Portland, ME—The Hilton Garden Inn Portland Airport will undertake a renovation project to add 36 rooms to the hotel in July, followed by the addition of an executive boardroom in December 2013.
The hotel will also be participating in Hilton’s “Project Grow,” the plan reflects an update to the hotel’s main lobby and lounge area. The new nature-inspired design brings an open flow for guests to socialize, relax and unwind. The area will also feature cabana draperies in the cupola area, pendant lighting with lanterns, large planters and signature artwork exclusive to Hilton Garden Inn.
“We will offer a new, modern look and state of the art in-room technology at affordable prices,” James Hackett, general manager of The Hilton Garden Inn Portland Airport, said in a statement. “We will be adding an additional wing to the hotel beginning July 2013, and expect renovations to be completed by December, 2013 with the addition of an executive boardroom.”
Other recent upgrades to this popular Portland getaway hotel include in-room technology updates to faster HSIA, and lodge net interactive TV that allows you to use iPads or smartphones to control or order movies. They have also installed a virtual local guide app in rooms with area attractions’ and restaurants’ phone numbers and maps. Guests can also check airline flight status from their rooms with a new flight app.
