ORLANDO, FL— Platinum Hospitality Group LLC has purchased— at an undisclosed price— the Days Inn MainGate East here from its unidentified Midwestern bank owner. The deal for the 404-room economy property, located on some seven acres roughly a mile and a half from the Disney World Resort on U.S. Highway 192, was facilitated by Atlanta, GA-based Thompson Calhoun Fair LLC. The hotel is comprised of a single-story building housing guest registration, a cafeteria, gift shop and administrative offices. The guestrooms are contained within four, three-story buildings connected by common roofs and walkways. The property— built in 1973 and remodeled in 1998— offers an outdoor pool, bar and game room.
