Rockwood taps veteran Falor as managing director
NEW YORK—Rockwood Real Estate Advisors, a full-service commercial real estate investment banking firm, is expanding its national, integrated real estate services platform via the hiring of industry veteran Anthony Falor. The strategic hire will further strengthen Rockwood’s expertise in the hospitality sector, as well as broaden its geographic reach.
Falor will serve as managing director and will be responsible for national investments, disposition sales, debt and structured equity placement and advisory services. He has over 25 of years experience in the hotel industry in both public and private companies. Prior to joining Rockwood, Falor created the Select Service Division as managing director at Hodges Ward Elliott.
Designtex chief Hamilton steps down after 28 years
NEW YORK—President and CEO Thomas Hamilton, has retired from Designtex. Hamilton spent the last 28 years with the company, 18 of those as president. Under his leadership, the company has flourished as one of the leading producers of innovative and sustainable surfaces. Hamilton also was instrumental in the company’s expansion into China, Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan, Australia, Great Britain, Turkey, the Middle East and Mexico.
While the company searches for Hamilton’s successor, CFO George Whelan will serve as acting president and CEO.
Watermark Capital appoints
two new vice presidents
CHICAGO—Watermark Capital Partners, LLC, a private investment and management firm focused on lodging and related investments, has appointed David B. Bryan to VP and has promoted Gil J. Murillo to VP as well.
Bryan previously held various feasibility and asset management roles in the lodging sector and has prior experience in lodging operations. Immediately prior to joining Watermark, he was responsible for the oversight of the joint venture and loan portfolios at Hyatt Hotels Corp.
Murillo has been a member of the Watermark team for more than three years, working in both acquisitions and asset management. Immediately prior to joining Watermark, he was an associate in Citigroup’s gaming and lodging equity research group.
Kully now VP, hospitality business development, Enseo
RICHARDSON, TX—In-room entertainment and digital signage provider Enseo has added Dayna Kully as VP, hospitality business development.
Kully, who was most recently with Corning MobileAccess, joins the team with 30 years of experience in sales, channel development, marketing and senior level management, specializing in telecommunications technology for the hospitality and healthcare markets.
The Homestead adds director, sales and marketing
HOT SPRINGS, VA—The Homestead appointed Tim Bugas director of sales and marketing.
Bugas served as national sales manager and as director of sales at The Homestead for five years early in his career. Now, upon returning, he will oversee all sales and marketing efforts at the historic resort, including the development of strategies to drive corporate and incentive business. He also will introduce to guests The Homestead’s $25-million renovation, which will launch this summer.
