DALLAS— Pegasus Solutions reports that U.S. Franchise Systems (USFS) has inked an agreement to outsource its central reservations system (CRS) to Pegasus. Under the two-year contract, USFS will replace the CRSs used by its three hotel brands, Hawthorn Suites, Microtel Inns & Suites and Best Inns & Suites, with Pegasus Solutions RezView CRS. The system implementation is to be completed by July 1, 2002, and will enable USFS to consolidate all of its brands room inventory into one system with a common format. As a result, its reservations agents will be able to book all USFS hotels via a user-friendly interface to one system— RezView. By using Pegasus Solutions CRS and advanced distribution technology, USFS hopes that its franchise hotels will be able to manage their room rates and inventories more effectively.
