NEW YORK— Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts will gain a presence in the famed Las Vegas market later this month when it reopens the former Lady Luck Casino Hotel as the Park Plaza Las Vegas Lady Luck Casino Hotel. The company announced the deal at the NYU Investment Conference currently being held here at the Marriott Marquis. The 789-room casino hotel recently underwent $6 million in renovations, with an additional $1 million planned for its East Tower and a $12.5 million capital upgrade scheduled for its West Tower, which will graduallly be converted to 209 timeshare units. In all, the hotel consists of a 300-room East Tower, 400-room West Tower and a four-story, 89-room low rise. It also will offer four restaurants, 24-hour room service, concierge services, a heated outdoor pool and gift shop. Steadfast Companies, based in Newport, CA owns the hotel.
