CANCUN Park Hospitality s Park Plaza and Park Inn hotels in North America have joined parent Carlson Companies Gold Points Rewards program to offer a new guest loyalty program called Park Rewards.
The move reflects Park s further integration into the Carlson family. Park was acquired by Carlson last year in a joint venture with Olympic Hospitality.
The program is based on a point system, awarding 10 points for each dollar spent on accommodations at Park Plaza and Park Inn hotels in North America. Enrolled members can earn a free night s stay at Park Inn when 20,000 points are accumulated. Card members can redeem earned points at Radisson Hotels & Resorts and Country Inns & Suites By Carlson for future hotel stays, or at Carlson s restaurant brands, TGIF s, Friday s American Bar, Friday Front Row Sports Grill and Italianis.
Park Plaza is positioned within the midscale to upscale segment of the full-service category. Hotels tend to be 150 rooms or larger, located in downtown, suburban and airport commercial locations, according to Carlson.
Park Inn hotels meanwhile, sit in the midscale with f&b hotel segment. These hotels are usually conversions situated in suburban and leisure destinations. They tend to be 150 rooms or fewer with continental breakfast. (4/3/01) Ruthanne Terrero
