FAIRFIELD, NJ— Paramount Hotel Group, a third-party, independent hotel management and ownership group, has signed an agreement to manage the Hilton Garden Inn currently under construction in Nanuet, NY. The five-story property— slated to feature 88 guestrooms, including eight executive suites— is owned by a private investment group, and is expected to open at Exit 14 of the New York State Thruway this September. Designed to attract both business and leisure travelers, it was noted the hotel would feature three separate but contiguous meeting rooms with the capacity to host up to 150 people. The Hilton Garden Inn Nanuet will also feature the brand’s signature Pavilion restaurant, which will serve three meals daily, plus late-night snacks. According to Paramount Hotel Group CEO David Simon: “We are seeing a significant increase in management opportunities, both for new-builds and acquisitions.” He added: “Every hotel in our managed portfolio of 25 properties has consistently returned cash to our owners throughout the downturn of the past several years.” As such, Simon contended Paramount is currently in active negotiations with other owners.
