SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA— Pacifica Design Co. a division of Pacifica Hotel Co of Santa Barbara, CA, has completed a $1 million renovation here, of a 100-room Holiday Inn Express, which is owned by the lodging company. Company chairman Dale Marquis said, “Our total renovation of this property reflects our deep commitment to improving the Inn and making our guest experience the best in San Luis Obispo.” The renovation, started in October, gives the property a contemporary look and includes new furniture, carpeting, drapery, beds and bed coverings with gold and burgundy accents, and carried out in the lobby and public areas as well. The Holiday Inn Express is near California Polytechnic University and centrally located to historic downtown San Luis Obispo. Nearby attractions include Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa, one of the oldest Spanish missions in California, as well as the Hearst Castle and local wineries.
