DOVER, NH— Daylight Software has introduced the first-ever two-way wireless messaging system for the hospitality industry, and the Opryland Hospitality Group will be the first customer to deploy the new system. Opryland sales managers and others with appropriate security can check availability, send leads and RFPs, and even book business directly into any Daylight system via cell phone, PDA, or the Internet. Daylight and Hitachi Innovative Solutions Corp. (HISC) built Daylight’s Wireless Messaging system using the Open Travel Alliance Meeting Profile specification, which allows all hotel systems to engage in two-way exchanges of group meeting data of any kind. The two companies will demonstrate this technology at the HITEC show being held in Orlando next week.
