JACKSONVILLE, FL Construction delays at the 922-room Adams Mark Hotel & Resort in downtown Jacksonville have pushed back its scheduled opening 27 days. Hotel officials had cited February 1 as the opening date for the 20-story hotel, now officials plan to open on February 28. The delay has caused conflicts with a couple of scheduled group meetings. The Adams Mark, which will be the largest hotel in Jacksonville, was scheduled to host participants of a firefighters conference in February. The hotel was not the headquarters hotel for the conference, but it was booked for 150 room nights on the first day the hotel was expected to open. In addition, Jacksonville & the Beaches Convention & Visitors Bureau booked a conference for February. “We have contacted all confirmed guests and meeting groups who have booked reservations prior to February 28 and have been able to either reschedule their dates or move them to other Jacksonville hotels,” a spokesperson said.
