NEW YORK Jupiter Research reports that the pursuit of cost-savings by U.S. companies will generate more than $33 billion in corporate-managed on-line travel bookings by 2005. Jupiter analysts warn that while the deployment of on-line booking solutions is bound to increase, the bigger challenge companies and travel technology partners face is getting employees to actually use the new systems. Corporations and travel solutions providers will have to work in tandem to implement training sessions to promote awareness and usage, said the company. (2/7/01)
