DENVER— On Command Corp. and Espial announced that they have completed the development and testing of On Commands next -generation TV Internet browser. The companies said that they are launching the new technology in more than 240,000 hotel rooms served by On Commands digital in-room television entertainment system. On Command said it is deploying the customized browser to provide hotel guests with improved speed, usability and access to Internet services available through their television set. The new browser is compatible with AOL, Hotmail and MSN, according to On Command. Additionally, the browser provides fit-to-width screens formatted for television, quicker rendering and improved on-screen flow and navigations, On Command said. Upgrading On Commands current hotel systems will begin this month. The company said it annually serves more than 250 million guests through 929,000 rooms in 3,450 hotel properties.
