IRVING, TX— Omni Hotels has inked a deal with Core Communications to offer a trial of free-to-guest Internet access service in guestrooms and public spaces within select Omni Hotels throughout North America. “We believe the free-to-guest approach breaks new ground in the market for in-room broadband access, the primary goal being the enhancement of customer affinity,” said Richard Sternitzke, Cores co-founder and COO. Core will deploy and support the guest Internet services in multiple properties using a variety of physical transport mediums including 802.11x wireless, wired and hybrid architectures. System components will be custom matched to unique physical requirements of each hotel. Core Communications, based in Dulles, Virginia, focuses exclusively on the data communications needs of the hotel, meetings and convention industry.
