HONOLULU— Outrigger Enterprises is continuing its effort to expand its inventory of properties under the OHANA Hotels brand by developing its first OHANA properties outside the state of Hawaii. Effective October 1, the company will assume the management of the Regency Hotel Guam and the Hotel Sunroute Guam, both at Tumon Bay, Guam. The Hotel Sunroute is a 187-room, full-service hotel and condominium resort comprised of standard hotel rooms and two-bedroom units with ocean views. The property will be renamed the OHANA Oceanview Guam. The 126-room Regency Hotel Guam will close October 1 to undergo a $3 million property-wide renovation. The property will re-open May 31, 2002, as the OHANA Bayview Guam with fully refurbished rooms, public areas, and a new restaurant. Outrigger Enterprises first entered the Guam market in 1999 with the 600-room Outrigger Guam Resort.
