NEW YORK— NYTimes.com has re-launched its travel section with online booking capabilities from Trip.com, destination content from Fodors, and free access to New York Times travel articles dating back to 1996. NYTimes.com/travel also offers photographs from Lonely Planet Images. The new travel section features a “Book a Trip” section with online booking capabilities powered by Trip Networks Trip.com. Through a unique marketing partnership with Trip, an independent affiliate of Cendant Corp., NYTimes.com now offers its users the ability to plan and book travel by providing access to Trip.coms collection of discounted airfares, hotel and resort condo accommodations, rental cars, and vacation packages.
