NEW YORK— Saturday night has become the busiest night for hotels here, according to a recent report on crainsny.com. In the report, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) noted that since the Sept. 11 attacks, occupancy on Saturday nights has averaged 80% compared with 71.2% on Tuesday— which was formerly a much stronger night. PwC attributed this change to unprecedented weekend discount deals and the sharp downturn in weekday business travel. SOURCE: crainsny.com
