NEW YORK— HOTEL BUSINESS® learned that NYC & Co. is currently developing plans to expand the Jacob Javits Convention Center here to include new hotels and restaurants, according to Jonathan Tisch, NYC & Co.s newly appointed chairman. Tisch, whos been serving in his new post for two weeks, said he has two primary objectives related to improving New York City tourism. First, to find more capital for the budget for NYC & Co., and second, to expand the Javits Center. New Yorkers can expect to see “new restaurants and hotels” as part of the expanded [Javits] complex, said Tisch. —Diana Rodriguez
