SEATTLE— Seattle-based hospitality management company Northwest Lodging International, a subsidiary of Canada’s AFM Hospitality Corp., is launching StayOnline’s wireless high-speed Internet access in guest rooms and meeting rooms at 11 Howard Johnson and Ramada hotels and inns operated by the company in the Pacific Northwest and Arizona. Provided by StayOnline, the new SuiteOnline wireless service will give guests access to the information superhighway at speeds up to 200 times faster than conventional modems allow. Guests at properties operated by Northwest Lodging International will have high-speed Internet access in their hotel rooms, plus multi-port meeting room Internet access – as well as unlimited mobility throughout each property. In addition, for guests who choose not to carry their own laptop computers, select rooms at each property – including Howard Johnson Home Office and Club Ramada rooms – will be equipped with in-room computers and monitors to allow high-speed access from desktop terminals. A minimum of 25 percent of the rooms at each property will feature the in-room PCs.
