NASHVILLE, TN— An interactive exhibit featuring the works of Norman Rockwell will have a four-month run at Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center here beginning May 15. Called “Rockwell’s America: Celebrating the Art of Norman Rockwell,” the exhibit premiers in Nashville as the first stop of a national tour. Norman Rockwell, whose career with the Saturday Evening Post spanned more than 50 years, depicted family life that reflected patriotism, times of change, and technological advancements in small town USA. Rockwell is perhaps most famous for his 322 Saturday Evening Post covers, all of which are displayed in the exhibit. In addition to the covers, the exhibit will feature 40 interactive experiences, life-sized sculptures and an original Norman Rockwell painting. “Rockwell’s America: Celebrating the Art of Norman Rockwell” will be located inside the Ryman A Exhibit Hall inside Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center.
