CONCORD, CA— A 324-room Crowne Plaza has made its debut here. Owned and managed by Airport Capital Group, Inc., the hotel was previously known as the Sheraton Concord. The Crowne Plaza Concord will undergo a complete $2.5 million renovation by the fourth quarter of 2005. The three-story building features an atrium with brooks, waterfalls and koi fish; the Atrium Court, a restaurant; and 32,000 square feet of function space. There are now 15 Crowne Plaza hotels with more than 4,700 guestrooms in the state of California. The brand is part of the InterContinental Hotels Group.
