DALLAS—NewcrestImage, based here, is developing a six-story hotel in Amarillo, TX, as part of a public-private partnership.
The hotel, to be built directly across the street from City Hall on six acres of land owned by the city, will be part of a $113 million complex scheduled to include a ballpark, a parking garage and a retail arcade with destination shopping and dining. It will also include 17,000 sq. ft. of meeting space.
Additional details of the hotel—including brand, number of rooms and timeline—are expected within the next 90 days, according to the company.
The company already has a hotel in Amarillo in its portfolio, the 107-room Courtyard by Marriott, housed in the Fisk Building, which dates back to 1927.
Currently, NewcrestImage owns and operates 16 hotel properties, with eight properties under construction and another three real estate properties in various stages of development.
