WASHINGTON, DC— The Westin Washington DC City Center has opened its doors. The 406-room hotel is owned by Columbia Sussex Corp. and will be managed under a long-term management agreement with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Westin’s parent company. The new Westin features 16,750 square feet of meeting and event space; a full-service Westin WORKOUT powered by Reebok fitness center; and the Veranda Restaurant and Tower Lounge for breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails. There is also a 24-hour, self-service business center. Guestrooms offer the Westin Heavenly Bed and Heavenly Bath as well as Westin’s 24-hour Service Express, which allows guests to dial one extension from their guestroom phone to facilitate all of their service requests. Each guestroom also features high-speed wireless Internet access, 32-inch televisions and a WakeCup coffee brewer with complimentary Starbucks coffee.
