ST. LOUIS— A 188-suite Residence Inn by Marriott recently opened in downtown St. Louis. It is reportedly the first extended-stay hotel in the city. The eight-floor hotel has a 1,600-square-foot meeting area with an executive boardroom, a business center, an eighth-floor executive suite, a lounge and a market for drinks, snacks and toiletries. Additionally, the hotel offers an indoor swimming pool and hot tub, an exercise room, high-speed Internet access and a full-service bar in the lobby. The new Residence Inn is near many attractions, including the St. Louis Gateway Arch, Forest Park, Busch Stadium, Washington Avenue, Laclede’s Landing and the Riverfront. Equis, a hospitality management and hotel development company based in St. Louis, operates the hotel.
