PROVIDENCE, RI— Grand Heritage Hotel Group (GHHG), an owner and operator of upscale, historic hotels, has entered into a partnership with Elizabeth Arden Spas, LLC for the construction of the Red Door Spa to complete the final phase of renovation at its Providence Biltmore Hotel. The addition of the spa will complete the final phase of more than $12 million in renovations, which have been conducted over the past three years. The Red Door Spa invested over $400 per square foot to design the two-story spa, according to GHHG. The Red Door Spa at the Providence Biltmore will have five facial rooms, three massage rooms, two wet rooms, six hair stations, six manicure stations and four pedicure thrones. The spa is slated to open in December 2004. Elizabeth Arden Spas has plans to launch additional Red Door facilities, noted John Richards, CEO of Elizabeth Arden Spas. “Over time we expect to add many additional projects throughout the country focused initially on the Eastern corridor,” Richards said.
