LAS VEGAS Holiday Inn Express officially introduced a new prototype yesterday to the owners and investors attending its Global Investment Conference at the Bellagio hotel here.
Design concepts target cost-efficiency, cleanliness and timelessness.
Express signature Great Room has been redesigned as an open area adjacent to the lobby; it features French doors which allows the room to be closed for meeting space. High-speed connections and computer outlets have been placed in guestrooms and key public spaces, and fewer vertical surfaces are found in guestrooms and bathrooms to streamline cleaning.
Some 50 prototypes of the limited-service brand are currently in development domestically, with openings recently in seven states. (10/3/00)
