NEW YORK— Thousands of new product launches and hundreds of new companies are expected to be in attendance at the 87th annual International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show which takes place Nov. 9-12, 2002, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center here. Nearly 400 new and 1,300 returning exhibitors will present a range of products and services for the hospitality and food-service industries. The show will have five market sectors including Décor, Technology, Restaurant, Flavors and Essentials. A wide range of new products will be introduced at the IH/M&RS. Here is a sampling: • From Adaco Services— ADACOeclipse with Corporate Management System, which offers single or multi-property procurement, materials management and operational analysis software solution for handling food, beverage and general stores. • Apyron Technologies— The Ice Wand to control the growth of unwanted substances in commercial ice machines. • ASSA ABLOY— INHOVA, a brand of locks installed around the world that is debuting stateside, introduces the Donna Locking System, which has customization, weather resistance and convertible capabilities. • Bonaldo (975 contract)— The Amanda Chair, stackable with a flexible back, is available in translucent or opaque polycarbonate designs. • Chef Master— A new CM-3500 convertible induction range for either counter-top or drop in use. • Front of the House/FOH— The Ideal Plate Clip, holds a stemmed glass and attaches to a plate so guests can enjoy cocktail parties without having to perform a balancing act when trying to eat and drink. • Idea Factory— Rinse Ace, two-in-one showerhead provides guests with a full-body showering experience and housekeepers with a quick-connect hose. • Lawrence Essentials— A collection of hand-carved resin designs that are dishwasher safe including bowls, trays, condiment trays, vases, candleholders and bath accessories. • Mionetto USA— “IL” Prosecco, a sparkling wine produced from the Italian Prosecco grape, innovatively packaged and sealed with a crown cap. • Rodon International— Globo, a tilting glass teapot. The IH/M&RS is expected to attract 45,000 in total trade attendance. It is sponsored by the New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association, the Hotel Association of New York City, and the American Hotel & Lodging Association and is managed by George Little Management, LLC.
