NEW ORLEANS— Harrahs New Orleans Casino posted its highest revenue-generating month ever in February thanks to Super Bowl and Carnival crowds, according to a report in the Times-Picayune. The casino, located at the foot of New Orleans’ Canal Street, generated $23.8 million in revenue last month, beating the casinos previous best performance of $23.7 million in September 2000, State Police auditors told Louisiana Gaming Control Board members at their monthly meeting Tuesday. A total of 653,961 people visited the casino and each, on average, lost $36.40 to the house, said the report.
