PHOENIX Two hotel executives are eyeing a 70-year-old downtown bank building here for an independent luxury hotel. The Professional Building s owner, Noel Heller, said he has discussed a joint venture with Scott Lyon and Bill Nassikas, principals of Westroc Hospitality, to refurbish the nearly vacant office tower. Heller also noted that the likelihood of the project was uncertain.

The Professional Building, which had a cameo role in Alfred Hitchcocks classic 1960 thriller Psycho, has been mentioned for redevelopment previously as a 49-unit condominium project, a 176-room Hampton Inn, and a 130-room Embassy Suites, among other projects.
