ATLANTA The proposed symphony hall in midtown here may be accompanied by a new luxury hotel, apartment tower, and high-rise condominium, according to reports from The Atlanta Journal and Constitution .
Developers confirmed yesterday that they intend to build two towers as part of a project that will include a new home for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. The towers would be at least 30 stories high.
The first tower would have 200 to 300 rental units above 300 luxury hotel rooms. Ground breaking is expected in about 18 months and a grand opening is expected in approximately three years. Developers are currently in discussions with two European hotel companies to operate the hotel.
The second tower would have 400 condominiums above street-level retail outlets and restaurants. (4/6/01)
