SARASOTA, FL— Pittsburgh-based Scott Development Corp. paid DMB/Sarasota LLP— an affiliate of The Brookhill Group— $1,225,600 for a three-acre parcel at the Brookhill Business Park here in anticipation of developing a 110-room hotel on the site. According to Donald Derman, leasing manager for Brookhill at the Florida site, construction of a hotel at the intersection of Fruitville Road and I-75 “will greatly complement the other developments at the [location], which will include restaurants and convenience stores.” Brookhill sources further noted that the likely flag on the proposed hotel— as well as its expected groundbreaking and completion dates— won’t be confirmed until sometime shortly after Labor Day. —Michael Billig
