CAMARILLO, CA— Somera Capital Management has invested in the newly constructed Hampton Inn & Suites, located at 50 West Dailey Dr. here and developed in a joint venture with Ocean Park Hotels. The Somera Realty Value Fund LP, a value-added, closed-end private-equity real estate fund, provided Somera’s equity to the venture. It was added Somera completed approximately $420 million in transactions in 2003, and its current reported portfolio of 25 properties is said to carry an original cost of approximately $800 million. The new Hampton Inn property is set out as a 115-room, upper-tier, limited-service hotel with a swimming pool, fitness center, business center, gift shop, and 2,100 square feet of meeting rooms. Located at the intersection of Las Posas Road and U.S. 101, the property is near the Camarillo Premium Outlets, one of California’s largest factory outlet malls.
