SAVANNAH, GA— Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide Inc. announced the completion of the first phase of construction for the new Four Points by Sheraton here. The hotel is scheduled to open in the summer of 2007 and will be managed by Akshar Hotel Properties under a long-term license agreement. Located in the city’s historic district, the Four Points by Sheraton Historic Savannah will be at the corner of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Bay Street. The new five-story hotel will offer 127 guestrooms; 2,000 square feet of meeting space and two boardrooms; a fitness center; guest laundry facilities; an outdoor pool; and a restaurant. Each guestroom will feature a 32-inch flat screen television; the Four Points by Sheraton Comfort Bed; and high-speed Internet access.
