HONG KONG— Several new executives have joined the ranks of the Hotel Inter-Continental here, filling key positions at the Six Continents’ property. According to managing director Jennifer Fox, five slots have been filled. These include: Simon Scoot, director of marketing; George Wang, director of groups, meetings and incentive sales; Ivy Yeung, director of business development; Sharon Tam, associate director of sales, corporate; and Paul Mitchell, director of finance. Scoot previously served as director of sales for the London Hilton, Park Lane. Prior to that he was assistant director of sales at the Mayfair Inter-Continental London, also working for seven years in the company’s corporate office in London. Wang formerly served with the Hong Kong Tourism Board as manager-The Americas, as well as with the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong as director of conventions in the sales and marketing department. Yeung made a lateral move from The Peninsula Hong Kong while Tam served as senior sales manager for the Kowloon Shangri-la. Mitchell, a 16-year I-C veteran, previously was based in Chicago, where he served as regional controller for the Midwest and Canada for Inter-Continental Hotels, as well as controller for the company’s Chicago property.
