NEW YORK— HOTEL BUSINESS® has learned that Starwood Hotels & Resorts W Hotels chain will be getting some new executive level talent. Steve Marx, formerly president/COO of the Boutique Hotel Group, will be officially named in an executive capacity within the W Hotels organization in the near future, sources told HOTEL BUSINESS®. While his new title is yet unknown, Marx is expected to head up the hip hotel chain and its aggressive expansion strategy. W Hotels last week celebrated its 20th hotel and its Canadian debut with announcement of the W Montreal, which is slated to open in the fall. The first W Hotel opened in New York City in 1998.
