OKLAHOMA CITY— A new Courtyard by Marriott opened in downtown Oklahoma City on Jan. 21 and is part of the John Q. Hammons portfolio. The 225-room, $27-million property is the second John Q. Hammons project built here since the $370 million Metropolitan Area Projects initiative was implemented in 1993 to revitalize the area. The first Hammons hotel was the $38 million Renaissance, which opened in 2000. John Q. Hammons Hotels operates 58 hotels nationwide.
