SHELTON, CT—New Castle Hotels and Resorts has appointed new general managers at several properties throughout North America. The company also created the position of regional controller. Nadine Azzaro has been namedGM of New Castles Hilton Garden Inn here. Azzaro previously held general manager positions at several properties in Connecticut, including the Hartford/Manchester Courtyard by Marriott in Manchester; the Hilton Garden Inn in Glastonbury; and the New Haven/Orange Courtyard by Marriott in Orange. Kevin Viteri has taken the helm as GM of the Hilton Garden Inn in Norwalk, CT. Prior to joining the New Castle team; he was general manager of the Courtyard by Marriott, also in Norwalk. Brian Ray will serve as GM of the Hilton Garden Inn in Portland, ME. Ray served as chief engineer of the Portland Harbor Hotel before joining New Castle. In addition, Shannon Vassar has been named GM of the Burlington Courtyard by Marriott in Williston, VT. She joined the New Castle team after six years as general manager of the Comfort Inn and Suites in South Burlington, VT. Lowell Beebe-Center, who has helped launch several New Castle properties since joining the company in 1995, will serve as GM at the Hawthorn Suites in Arlington, MA, which was recently acquired by New Castle. He was previously GM of the Courtyard by Marriott in Shelton. In Ingonish Beach, Nova Scotia, James Frise has been named general manager of Keltic Lodge, one of three Signature Resorts owned by the province of Nova Scotia and managed by New Castle Hotels. Frise joins New Castle from Cape Breton Island Resorts where he was GM of the Glenghorm Beach Resort, also in Ingonish Beach. Brian Reynolds, a 20-year industry veteran, has been named regional controller for New Castle. Reynolds will oversee financial operations and accounting personnel at New Castle properties in the Northeast. Prior to joining New Castle, he served as regional controller for Tecton Hospitality. New Castle Hotels and Resorts portfolio includes 31 resorts and hotels the company manages, owns or is developing in the U.S. and Canada.
