CHANTILLY, VA— Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc.has signed an agreement with Asha Companies to develop a select-service Aloft hotel here. Located near Dulles International and Ronald Reagan Washington International airports, the 131-room property is scheduled to open in 2008. The Aloft Chantilly will be among the first properties to premier the new brand, which will feature a loft-like design and numerous high-tech amenities. Starwood said it plans to aggressively develop the new brand and anticipates that there will be 500 Aloft properties worldwide by 2012.
