GREEN RIVER, WY— Multi-Systems Inc. (MSI), in a joint effort with Symbol Technologies and VingCard a.s., has installed its new WinPM Wireless hand-held solution at Lodging Enterprises’ Oak Tree Inn here. “The WinPM Wireless solution is uniquely applicable at the Oak Tree Inn, as the property has a campus-like layout of the rooms,” said Kim Stahr, general manager of the property. “Guests are not required to stop at the front desk, but are simply checked-in through a corporate lodging card with the WinPM Wireless unit aboard [their]ride from the train station.” The Wireless hand-held devices (made by Symbol Technologies) and room-key encoding technology (from VingCard) reportedly enables the user to obtain authorizations and encode room keys on the spot. Other prime functions of the WinPM Wireless unit are: printing the registration card; printing room directions; checking-out guests with balance to credit card or direct bill; changing the payment method; adding additional authorizations; and printing a folio.
