HONG KONG— Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has expanded role for Kathleen Dickson, vp/sales, the Americas, in response to its rapid growth throughout the United States. In response to Mandarin Oriental’s growth in North America, Dickson will work directly with the U.S. hotels to strengthen and increase the combined sales effort of the U.S. regional sales offices and hotels, according to Michael Hobson, senior vp/sales and marketing. Dickson will continue to develop the Group’s sales organization to support the North American hotels and future expansion in the region, Hobson noted. Dickson joined Mandarin Oriental in 1999. Prior to working at Mandarin Oriental, she served with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and Hilton Hotels Corp. Mandarin Oriental operates 18 luxury hotels around the globe and has four additional hotels in development including New York (opening late 2003); Washington, D.C. (2004); Hong Kong (2005); and Tokyo (2006).
