NEW YORK— With its Regal hotels now rebranded as Millennium properties, Millennium Hotels is concentrating on further increasing its global distribution in key gateway cities. According to Bob Morse, president, Millennium Hotels North America, the brand still has a lot of growth potential and executives at the company have expressed an interest in achieving that growth in a large-scale deal. “Our chairman has said he would prefer to do a larger deal, rather than grow by one off acquisitions,” said Morse during a panel at the NYU Hotel Investment Conference. Millennium has more than 80 hotels in its portfolio worldwide. The company recently inked an agreement to form a global strategic marketing alliance with Maritim Hotels in Germany, furthering its presence there. —Shannon McMullen
