Millennium Abandons Forte Bidding

SINGAPORE London-listed Millennium & Copthorne Hotels PLC isn t bidding for Granada Compass Le Meridien chain of hotels, reports the Straits Times, quoting the ehotelier.com website. The report said market analysts believe Nomura Securities Co. and Marriott hotel group will be successful after Millennium & Copthorne s exit. (2/20/01) SOURCE:Dow Jones Newswires
