ATLANTA— Microtel Inn & Suites has completed its Project Reveille initiative to provide free wireless high-speed Internet access along with free long distance and local phone calls in all guestrooms in its hotels in the continental U.S. Completion of the project is “a first in the hospitality industry and an enormous leap forward in Microtels development,” said Mike Leven, president/CEO of US Franchise Systems, parent company of the franchisor of the Microtel budget/economy brand. In addition to the free local and long distance phone calls to anywhere in the continental U.S. and free wireless high-speed Internet access, Microtel guests can take advantage of advance online check-in and check-out. Guests are also able to access their folios online and pre-register for their room on the Microtel web site at http://www.microtelinn.com. There are currently 275 Microtel hotels open or under construction worldwide. All of the brand’s properties are independently owned and operated.
