Turnberry Isle Miami Reopens as JW Marriott Property
Turnberry Associates and Marriott International revealed that Turnberry Isle Miami, formerly part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, will reopen as part of the JW Marriott portfolio this winter.
The property will be reborn as JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa, complete with a new 16-story Orchid Tower comprised of 325 guestrooms. Designed by Nichols Brosch Wurst Wolfe & Associates, the tower nearly doubles JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa’s overall capacity to 685 rooms and suites, with interiors led by design studio, Champalimaud. Each guestroom also has artwork from artists curated by DAC Art Consulting.
The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach Set to Open New Tower
The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, HI is now set to debut its Diamond Head Tower on Oct. 15, marking the completion of Oahu’s first Ritz-Carlton Residences.
The resort’s new 245-residence Diamond Head Tower complements the 307-residence ‘Ewa Tower. Guerin Glass Architects designed both 38-story towers. Interior design firm Jon Brent Design’s completed the 552 studio, one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom residential accommodations and penthouses in both towers.
New Diamond Head Tower facilities include an expanded spa with four treatments rooms and relaxation lounge and a 2,900-sq.-ft. infinity pool with private cabanas. The Diamond Head Tower will also introduce 10 meeting and event spaces, which include a boardroom, movie theater, The Horizon Terrace and Lanai and the 22,000-sq.-ft. Lau’ula Park which can host a reception for up to 800 guests.
Costa Rica Resort Adds Amenities
Peninsula Papagayo, a 1,400-acre resort and residential community on the north Pacific coast of Costa Rica, reveals the next phase of its more than $100-million transformation led by residential real estate investment and development firm, Gencom.
Additions include Papagayo Explorers Club Programming with new adventures; Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica enhancements including a reimagined spa and fitness center; Papagayo Bike-Share Program; Peninsula Papagayo Golf Clubhouse renovation; Andaz Costa Rica Resort enhancements including a poolside bar; Marina Village enhancement with a market and dive bar; and Camp Jaguar, the daily outdoor nature program.
Boca Raton Resort Enhances Yacht Club
Boca Raton Resort & Club, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, in Boca Raton, FL reveals a new experience for guests staying at Boca Raton Yacht Club, including a transformation of the Resort’s 112-room, self-contained boutique property and new concierge services in a gradual refresh that will be completed this November.
The $8.2-million transformation includes the reimagined Yacht Club. Guests who purchase the Yacht Club Experience can take part in private concierge services to assist with personal, vacation or business needs.
