LAS VEGAS— MGM Mirage said it is now offering wireless Internet access to six of its Las Vegas resorts. Through the new system, customers can book room reservations, as well as access information about gaming, entertainment, dining, spas, golf and other hotel services via wireless devices including web-enabled cell phones and personal digital assistants. The move means, that for example, a business traveler at a Las Vegas convention can use a WAP phone to retrieve information about a restaurant at Bellagio and review the entertainment line-up offered at MGM Grand. A leisure traveler can use a Palm pilot to retrieve spa services available at The Mirage and review hours of operation and ticket prices for the Manhattan Express Rollercoaster featured at New York-New York, said the company. The MGM Mirage properties in Las Vegas participating include MGM Grand, Bellagio, The Mirage, Treasure Island, New York-New York and Golden Nugget. The wireless service is provided by Beverly, MA-based Maxiom Mobile Technologies.
