BERGEN COUNTY, NJ- Wellsford Commercial Properties Trust, owner of the vacant American Cyanamid campus, wants to develop a “world-class” corporate conference and training center, complete with a four-star hotel, nine-hole golf course, health club, and housing units.
Recently, MeriStar Hotels & Resorts, which owns similar conference centers and resorts under the Doral name, inquired about the property. MeriStar wants a corporate training and resort center to complement its Princeton campus, Wellsford executives said earlier this week.
On September 11, representatives of Wellsford Commercial Properties Trust will show the Planning Board a conceptual plan detailing the multiple uses designed for corporate executives. The planned 280- room hotel would contain banquet rooms and at least one restaurant. (9/7/00)
