ST. HELENA, CA—Meadowood Napa Valley will launch a full renovation of its pools and fitness environments. This project is scheduled to begin in the early fall and reopen with a Memorial Day celebration in May 2018.
A complete remodel of the existing fitness center is designed to elevate both the workout and relaxation areas. The spaces dedicated to daily fitness classes, weight training and cardio workouts, retail store and locker rooms will be improved to create a more open and light-filled environment. The dressing and locker rooms as well as the area dedicated to fitness-related retail will be reflective of the parallel areas created within the new Meadowood Spa, which opened in November 2015.
A new upper pool will replace the existing lap pool located adjacent to the fitness center. It will be designated as an adult pool. New adults-only whirlpool and cabanas will complete the area. The lap pool is also being relocated. The existing children’s pool will be resurfaced and the existing family snack bar and dressing area will be replaced by an expanded and more functional building.
A new pool cafe, located between the upper pool and the lap pool, will take its inspiration from the architectural style of the Meadowood Spa. Sliding glass doors will surround the building. The dining area has been designed to be convivial and fun in keeping with its poolside location yet relaxing and sophisticated, according to the company.
